Mummer Dolls - Phase I

Above: Under garment for Wren doll, the fabric neatly mirrors that of the feathers found on the wren bird and i've had it for a few years now, so i'm very pleased to see it being brought into play here.

Above: Captain Mummer Hat made using yellow rafia, a lot of time went into and continues to go into this hat, afterall it is the most intricate and will be finished with horns.

Above: The Wren is portrayed as svelte and small usually played by a young girl or boy

Above: The Captain Mummer wearing hessian clothing, he should appear strong and solid his hat should appear more intricate than the others as he is the Captain

Below: The 3 pairs of hands made from sculpey are ready to go into the oven, I am very pleased with myself that I didn't burn them this time, as many a hand and head have sadly been charred from over baking. Hooray!! Wait a minute...did i hear a faint round of applause from the shoe box??!
